Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about oral health, possess excellent clinical skills, and have a genuine desire to educate patients on maintaining optimal dental hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical histories, performing oral cancer screenings, and evaluating periodontal health.
Preventive Care: Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, the importance of regular dental visits, and the relationship between diet and oral health.
Radiography: Capture and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in the diagnosis of dental conditions.
Sealants and Fluoride Treatments: Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride to protect teeth from decay.
Collaboration: Work closely with dentists and other team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatments and care plans.
Qualifications:
Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Licensure: Current state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in Arizona.
Experience: Prior experience in a dental setting is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Skills:
Proficiency in dental software and technology.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, oral anatomy, and periodontal disease.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
