Dental Assistant needed in our dental office

Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming plaster casts
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
- Practice aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Assist with dental procedures for pediatric patients
- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures
- Proficiency in Dentrix software for patient record management
- Familiarity with taking and developing dental X-rays
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from dentists or hygienists
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care

Skills:
- HIPAA compliance knowledge to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Dentrix software for efficient patient record management
- Experience in taking and developing dental X-rays for diagnostic purposes
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Strong dental assisting skills to support dentists during various treatments
- Experience working with pediatric patients to provide specialized care and create a comfortable environment
- Knowledge of anatomy to assist with proper positioning of patients during procedures
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately for monitoring patient health during treatment
