Dental Assistant Or Registered Dental Assistant - Village Dental Care - Riverside, CA

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing materials and instruments, taking X-rays, and providing chairside assistance- Perform dental procedures within the scope of practice, such as placing dental sealants, applying fluoride treatments, and taking impressions- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and maintaining patient records
Requirements:- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience- Current certification in Dental Assisting- Proficiency in dental software systems for scheduling and record keeping- Knowledge of medical coding and terminology- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively- Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Experience with taking vital signs and medical imaging is preferred
