As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, educating patients, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and conducting oral examinations.
Administer preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Utilize infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments performed and any changes in patient conditions.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license from an accredited program.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and infection control procedures.
Proficient in patient assessment techniques and medical imaging systems.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and vital signs monitoring is preferred.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
