Job Description
Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings- Take dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental software systems (e.g., Eaglesoft)- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Experience:
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping- Strong knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting- Ability to perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical history- Familiarity with dental software systems, such as Eaglesoft- Knowledge of medical coding for dental procedures is an advantage- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
