Job Overview:
Lawley Endodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our compassionate team. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service while ensuring the efficient flow of patients through our office. The receptionist will handle scheduling, communication, and administrative duties to create a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication:
Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable.
Answer phone calls, manage emails, and respond to inquiries promptly.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
Notify patients of appointment changes and maintain up-to-date scheduling records.
Administrative Duties:
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
Collect and verify insurance information and patient data.
Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Maintain and organize patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Coordinate patient referrals and assist with follow-up communications.
Insurance and Billing Support:
Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.
Assist with claims submissions and follow up on outstanding claims as needed.
Provide cost estimates and explain payment options to patients.
Office Management Support:
Maintain the cleanliness and order of the front desk area.
Order and manage office supplies as needed.
Assist in the implementation of office policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental or medical office administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in dental practice management software (e.g., PBS Endo, DentalXchange, or similar).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
