Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to help our patients maintain optimal oral health. This position will involve providing a full range of hygiene services, educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, and supporting the dentist in delivering top-notch care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient education, and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
We are looking to add a part-time RDH to work (1-2days/wk).
Responsibilities:
Perform routine dental cleanings and scaling of teeth to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories and vital signs
Take and develop X-rays as needed
Apply fluoride treatments and sealants
Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care
Assist in developing individualized care plans for patients
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
Ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients
Provide support and assistance to the dentist during procedures as needed
Qualifications:
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with children, adults, and families
Attention to detail and a commitment to patient care
Prior experience in a family dental office is a plus, but not required
