Position: Dental Hygienist - full or part time
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Our small, rural dental office in Ogden, Iowa, is seeking a dedicated hygienist to join our friendly and professional team. With two experienced dentists and a supportive work environment, we pride ourselves on delivering top-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities

Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction
Oral hygiene cleanings (prophylaxis cleanings and periodontal cleanings)
Identify oral conditions such as gingivitis, periodontitis, and oral pathoses
Dental instrument sterilization
Patient education for proper oral health
Maintain documentation and electronic health records of patients
Take accurate health history of patients
Anesthetize patients for procedures
Take X-rays and dental impressions

Skills

Dental Hygiene Degree
Valid Iowa dental hygiene license to practice
Experience as a dental hygienist
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
Strong communication skills
Teamwork oriented
A patient-centric attitude
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment and instruments
