We're Hiring!
Are you looking to join a fresh and growing pediatric and orthodontic dental practice in Middle TN? We're thrilled to share that we're expanding our team and have a fantastic opportunity available-- we are in search of a dental assistant with a strongly-preferred, minimum of one year experience in Pediatric Dentistry.
To achieve success in this position, you would:
- Deliver quality, intentional and compassionate care to every patient
- Help set expectations with parents and patients before and after treatment
- Educate patients in oral hygiene and provide post-treatment instructions
- Prepare patients for examination and treatment - Be prepared for all patients
- Take x-rays and keep records accurately/accordingly
- Ensure the operational readiness of operatories
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, follow OSHA guidelines
- Clean chairs and rooms
- Assist professional dental staff with treatment (such as cleanings when necessary, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, etc.)
- Seat patients at their accurate appointment time
- Misc. tasks as assigned by doctor and manager
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid, TN RDA License
- Current CPR, Radiology, Nitrous, Coronal Polishing, & Sealants Certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant
- Proficiency in dental radiography, knowledge of dental charting, and electronic health records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Must be able to pass a background test, drug screening, and TB test
Preferred Qualifications:
- EFDA License (Not a must)
- 2 years of experience with pediatric dentistry and previous experience in a busy dental practice
- Experience and confidence with conscious sedation. We would like for an assistant to be as confident as possible so that the doctor can move through the office efficient, rather than returning to the same chair many times.
