Responsibilities
Welcome patients to the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments/checkups and ensure their comfort
Take x-rays
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate documentation and charts on each patient
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant
Outstanding communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Positive and upbeat attitude
Believe in working as a team
Excellent knowledge of clinical aspects of general dentistry, confidence discussing dental issues and treatment options with patients
X-ray certification preferred.
Dentrix Knowledge preferred. Training is available.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
