Summary
As a Dental Assistant at Park Creek Dental Care, you will play an essential role in supporting our dental team and enhancing patient experiences. This position is vital for ensuring efficient operations in our practice while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Work Schedule:
Wednesday-Friday 7:40-5pm , 1 hour lunch
Saturdays 7:40-2pm
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures.
Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols at all times.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records using dental software systems like Curve.
Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and answering inquiries, confirmation, verification of insurance, checking patient in and out.
Monitor inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Clean the operatories at end of the day by taking out trash, vacuum, or use swiffer as needed.
Attendance and being punctual is very important. Showing up on time to the morning huddle.
Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification
Take x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero intraoral 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history in order to provide quality care
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Understanding dental terminology

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental practice.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and terminology.
Ability to assist in four-handed dentistry efficiently.
Experience with dental software systems is preferred, particularly Curve.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable.
Make temporary crown, pack cord
BLS/CPR certification
X-ray certification

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
