Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in El Segundo, CA

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and highly organized Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with previous dental office experience, knowledgeable of dental terminology, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations in the office while creating a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional demeanor. Assist patients during check-out and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Phone Management: Answer inbound calls promptly, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries. Ensure clear communication with patients regarding office policies, procedures, and services.
Insurance Verification: Verify and update patient insurance information. Work with insurance providers to ensure proper coverage for treatments and procedures.
Treatment Plan Coordination: Work closely with the dentist to prepare and present treatment plans to patients. Educate patients about their treatment options, payment plans, and insurance coverage.
Recall Management: Conduct patient recalls to schedule follow-up appointments and help fill up the schedule. Ensure patients are reminded of upcoming appointments and are rescheduled for regular check-ups and treatments.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate and organized patient records, scheduling, and office systems.
Team Collaboration: Be a team player by providing support to other front office staff and assisting with other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Patient Relations: Build lasting relationships with patients by being approachable, communicative, and helpful. Create a welcoming atmosphere in the office that makes patients feel comfortable.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Dental Experience Required: Previous experience in a dental office is essential.
Knowledge of Dental Terminology: A solid understanding of dental terms and procedures is necessary to assist patients effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with patients and make them feel at ease.
Familiarity with insurance verification and treatment planning preferred.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail.
Positive, friendly, and professional attitude with a passion for customer service.
