Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in New York, NY
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are flexible with the number of days per week but would like someone for 1 to 3 days per week. We have maternity coverage need beginning in July if someone would be interested in a temporary sub position, but would love to have someone join our team permanently. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. You will work closely with the dentist to ensure the overall oral health and hygiene of our patients. The day(s) of the week is flexible and we will consider any day for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:- Perform dental cleanings (mostly periodontal maintenance)- Take dental x-rays- Perform post-operative heal checks- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques- Assist the dentist during procedures- Perform periodontal charting and assessments- Update and maintain patient records- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:- Valid Dental Hygienist license- Knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and equipment- Proficient in infection control protocols and aseptic technique- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills- Ability to work well in a team environment
