Dental Preventionist (EFDA required) - The Grove Dental - Grants Pass, OR

We are looking for a Dental Preventionist to join our team! In this key role, you will help ensure every patient enjoys a comfortable and positive experience during their visit. Your responsibilities will include preparing treatment rooms, polishing teeth, flossing, and applying Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) when necessary. You will also manage patient recalls, sterilize instruments, and educate patients on oral health best practices. This position offers autonomy and ownership over your own operatories.
Primary Responsibilities

Educate patients on proper oral health maintenance and promote healthy habits.
Assist patients with flossing and daily oral care.
Polish teeth and apply SDF as warranted.
Schedule patients for appropriate follow-up prevention visits.
Consult with office dentists as needed.
Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous dental prevention and assisting experience required.
Certification: EFDA certification is required.
Skills: Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a patient-focused, friendly attitude.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
