Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our GENERAL AND FAMILY dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy office.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during exams and procedures
Preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
Maintain accurate dental records
Ensure the treatment area is clean, organized, and follows aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed
Monitor vital signs and assist in managing patient comfort during procedures.
Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and understanding of dental systems.
Familiarity with various dental procedures is preferred.
Experience in dental assisting required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all patients.
Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining infection control protocols.
OFFICE DAYS AND HOURS: Monday through Thursday
