Job Description
```Overview```We are looking to add an additional registered dental assistant to our dental practice. Must be certified. But little or no experience is ok. Our office is independent not corporate. We need a responsible, dependable, willing to work applicant. Must have 2 references former employers would be best. Our work hours and days are Mon - Thur 8 to 5 and half a day on Fridays once a month. Some days we do work over depending on how schedule runs.
```Responsibilities```- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments- Take dental x-rays- Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and taking notes- Educate patients post-operative care instructions- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Helping hygiene with cleaning rooms and sometimes helping with xrays for them
- Cleaning office. Everyone helps with cleaning from bathrooms to floors to dusting etc. We don't have a cleaning service.
- Our office is small so everyone helps everyone. You may help hygiene or help front desk if you are slow in the back.
- we have one doctor and he takes the impressions, pours models up, scans, makes temp crowns, and does the adjustments.
```Qualifications```- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program- Current certification in Dental Radiography- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic technique- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care- Basic knowledge of anatomy and understanding of vital signs
