OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, impressions, and assisting with restorative treatments.
Manage patient scheduling and coordinate appointments, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Support pediatric patients with a friendly approach to ensure their comfort during visits.
Familiarize yourself with office systems such as Open Dental for efficient record management.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, documentation, and record management practices.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Certification or training in dental assisting is an advantage but not mandatory.
