This position is for an experienced Dental Assistant that has vast experience in Invisalign procedures, has gentle hands when assisting doctor, has great comprehension and is able to speak English fluently, and has amazing interpersonal skills to keep patients engaged! You must be comfortable packing cord and doing large and aesthetic temporary crowns. The ideal candidate should possess strong situational awareness and the ability to anticipate the doctor's needs during routine procedures.

Our busy, high quality, complete-care dental practice is looking for a dental assistant to work synergistically with our dentist and team to make sure that every patient receives the best hygiene, restorative and cosmetic care possible. We are looking for someone with a full understanding of the oral systemic connection and how to treat it effectively with modern solutions, while providing our patients with essential education in regards to oral hygiene and overall dental health. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Responsibilities

Welcome customers in the dental office
Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Scan patients with iTero scanning and education patient on oral conditions
Invisalign Knowledge and experience chairside
Ability to add Invisalign attachments
Ability to pack cord
Ability to create multiple teeth temporary crowns, temporary veneers, and anterior aesthetic temporaries.
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

Skills

Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Ability to perform Invisalign procedures chairside
Ability to scan patients with iTero intraoral scanner and education patients on oral conditions
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)

Can you retract cheeks and lips "gently" and effectively, as well as position the suction in a manner that keeps the doctor's mirror free of water, making for a fast and smooth procedure?
Are you a talker and self-starter and able to keep patients engaged, but also stay on time, or do you prefer to be told by the doctor and manager what to do next?
This position requires strong English language proficiency, including fluent speaking, reading, and writing.
