Dental Hygiene Assistant - Dental Care Alliance - Springfield, VA

Dental Assistants! Dental One Associates is looking for an awesome team member to join practice! The position is full-time with a competitive salary plus benefits! The ideal Dental Hygiene Assistant is preferred to have dental assisting experience but will consider a recent graduate from a formal dental assisting program with their X-ray license for the state of VA. If you meet the above criteria, have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere, we'd love for you to apply.

Hours: Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm
Responsibilities:
The following dental hygiene assisting duties are noted; however, other duties may be assigned:

Distributes and collects completed documentation from patient including medical history.
Sets up and breaks down treatment rooms, cleans & sterilizes treatment room.
Sterilize & maintain equipment & instruments.
Upholds office policy including HIPAA & OSHA
Greets and escorts patients into operatories and escorts them out.
Performs assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning & maintenance duties.
Reviews medical history and inputs into CPS. Asks initial consult questions from patient, records information and takes intra-oral pictures for doctor. Fills out exam notes as dictated by doctor.
Ability to take clinically appropriate xrays.
Obtain and review needed consent for patient treatment.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Completion of Dental Assisting Program preferred
X-ray Certification for the state of Virginia, required
