Pediatric Dental Hygienist - Just For Kids Dental - Woodland Park, NJ

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are a family owned private pediatric practice in Waxahachie. The ideal candidate is friendly, patient, outgoing, highly organized, and has a passion for working with kids. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high energy environment. The hygienist will work closely with the dentists and other dental professionals to promote oral health and educate young patients on proper dental hygiene. Pediatric dental experience and bilingual strongly preferred. Dentrix software experience is a plus.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-2.
Position is full-time permanent.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings for pediatric patients.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management.
Educate children and their guardians about oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and updates as necessary.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment during procedures.
Stock dental supplies for hygiene department.
Stay current with medical terminology relevant to pediatric dentistry.
Work with front office to make recall appointments when available.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of Texas.
Maintain CPR/BLS certification as well as annual OSHA/HIPAA requirements.
Experience in general dentistry preferred; familiarity with pediatric patients is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology, digital medical records management, and documentation review processes.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in explaining procedures to children and their parents.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while providing exceptional patient care.
