Dental Hygienist - Travel Assignment (Kalamazoo, MI)
Location: Kalamazoo, MIDuration: 13 Weeks (with possible extension)Shift: Varied (Five 8-hour days OR Four 10-hour days)Weekend Requirements: May include SaturdaysOn-Call Requirements: None
Responsibilities:

Perform full-cycle patient care, including seating, X-rays, and operatory cleaning.
Conduct thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, nutrition, and tobacco cessation.
Accurately chart periodontal health and document treatments.
Apply cavity-preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants.
Administer local anesthetics (if permitted by state regulations).
Take radiographs as prescribed by the dentist.
Maintain sterilization and cleanliness of the treatment room.
Comply with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Requirements:Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience (Required)Licensure: Active Michigan Dental Hygiene License (Required)Certifications: BLS (AHA) (Required)Technical Skills:

Experience with Cavitron (Required)
Experience with Dentrix EMR (Required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous travel dental hygienist experience (Highly Preferred)
Spanish language proficiency (Strongly Preferred)

Vaccination Requirement: Flu & COVID-19 vaccines required

Pay: $1,812.00 - $1,904.00 per week
Schedule:

10 hour shift
8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
