Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for Wednesdays and Thursdays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper hygiene practices.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, polishing including scaling and root planning.
Take x-rays and dental photos.
Take and document vital signs as part of patient assessments.
Review patient documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping.
Must demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Experience with documentation review processes and familiarity with dental systems such as Dentrix is preferred.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
