Job Description
Join White House Clinicsâ new Dental Assistant Apprenticeship Program! Our âlearn while you earnâ program creates a pathway for employment directly into a healthcare career. This academic program is a paid apprenticeship, so participants are paid to attend and complete coursework. Upon completion of the program, apprentices will sit for the national registration exam to earn the credentials of ADTâ Registered Dental Assistant.
Program Details:
The program is a 12-week training, combining classroom work, clinical skill labs, and externship hours in a clinical setting.
Participants are paid for full-time hours of work during the apprenticeship. All tuition costs are covered by White House Clinics.
In-person instruction occurs Monday â Friday.
Upon training completion, participants will sit for the national registration exam.

Apprenticeship Program Participant Responsibilities:
1. Attend class and/or clinic trainings Monday through Friday. Class consists of online course work, as well as weekly skills lab assignments and training.
2. Actively engage in classroom training, participate in skill building lab sessions to develop and enhance clinical skills.
3. Complete shadowing and training in a dental clinical setting to build skills and experience patient care workflows.
4. Complete all assigned coursework by deadlines outlined in syllabus. Failure to complete coursework may result in expulsion from the program.
5. In-person attendance is required; excessive absenteeism will impede the ability to successfully complete coursework and may impact the participants ability to successfully complete the program.
6. Sign a 2-year work agreement as a Dental Assistant to serve as a care team member for White House Clinics.
7. Follow credentialing guidelines regarding scope of work and practice throughout the apprenticeship program.
8. Complete EHR training and coursework relative to clinical courses.

Minimum Education - High School Diploma
Minimum Work Experience - 1-year medical or dental office experience preferred
