Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
Support pediatric dentistry practices by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Utilize dental software such as softdent for record keeping and scheduling.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Stay updated on anatomy knowledge and general dentistry practices to assist effectively.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly softdent is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and medical imaging techniques is desirable.
Understanding of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging in compliance with safety regulations.
