Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and provide appropriate recommendations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take medical imaging, such as X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before filing or entering into electronic health records.

ExperienceCandidates should possess a degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program and hold a valid state license. Experience in general dentistry is preferred, along with familiarity with medical terminology. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus. Strong skills in patient care, patient assessment, and documentation review are essential for success in this role. A commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant environment is crucial.
