Hours:
Wednesday - Thursday | 8am - 5pm

An expanded functions dental assistant is the right (and sometimes left) hand of the Dentist, an office cannot run smoothly without one! That is why we are looking to add a friendly and professional expanded functions dental assistant (EFDA) to our team!

Education/Experience:

High school diploma
Dental Assisting education
Current license/certifications - EFDA

Requirements & Contributions to the team:

Preform all expanded functions (EFDA) chairside procedures.
Prepare patients, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, or assist dentist during dental procedures.
Perform Advanced Chairside Procedures – Assist the dentist with complex procedures, including placing fillings, taking final impressions, and applying sealants or temporary crowns.
Dental diagnostic x-rays.
Record treatment information in patient records.
Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist.
Assist dentists in management of medical or dental emergencies.
Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
Clean and polish removable appliances.
Clean teeth, using dental instruments.
Apply protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
Fabricate temporary restorations or custom impressions from preliminary impressions
Other duties related to the dental assistant

No weekends
