Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Manage medical documentation accurately, including patient records and treatment plans.
Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
Maintain infection control standards in compliance with health regulations.
Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Utilize dental software systems such as Epic for scheduling and record management.

Skills

Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and X-ray procedures.
Understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dentistry.
Experience in assisting during various dental procedures effectively.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus.
Competence in using dental clinic software, particularly Epic, for efficient operations.
