As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral hygiene, and collaborating with the dental team to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Review documentation and medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Skills
Proficient in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Strong assisting skills with the ability to support the dentist effectively during procedures.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and patient assessment techniques.
Understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dental health.
Experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in four-handed dentistry practices.
Ability to conduct thorough documentation reviews and maintain organized medical records.
Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices within a clinical setting.
