Job Description
Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take and develop dental x-rays- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming impressions- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Take and record vital signs of patients
Requirements:- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control procedures- Experience with taking dental x-rays- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to work well in a team environment- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Certification or licensure as a dental assistant is preferred, but not required
