Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support dentists and other team members in delivering high-quality patient care by providing chairside assistance, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. The RDA will play a critical role in making patients feel comfortable and ensuring they receive excellent care.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with privacy regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Perform basic laboratory tasks as needed, including impressions and fabricating temporary crowns.
Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Skills
Strong knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and practices.
Understanding of prosthodontics and endodontics procedures.
Proficient in anatomy knowledge relevant to dental care.
Experience with maintaining medical records accurately.
Competence in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assistance.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Ability to take and record vital signs effectively.
Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and team members.
