We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to become a member of our established family dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of dental hygiene. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, taking x-rays, educating patients on proper oral hygiene and providing preventative care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality oral healthcare to our patients. You will work closely with the dentist and other members of the dental team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care. Your attention to detail, knowledge of dental procedures, and commitment to infection control will contribute to the overall success of our practice. Pay rate: $40:00 - $45:00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Gather patient information and health background
Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
Take x-rays when necessary
Take intra-oral photographs
Prepare the work area for procedures
Update patient records
Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety
Sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
Team player and willing to help other team members if necessary
Strong communication skills to educate patients on oral health practices
Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
Proficient in medical coding for dental procedures
Requirements:
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
Current state license, x-ray certification, CPR
2 years experience (preferred)
Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred)
Knowledge of Dentrix (preferred)
