OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort during visits. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, patient assessment, and infection control protocols.
Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as necessary.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Assist in the management of patient records using Dentrix or similar systems.
Collaborate with dentists in developing treatment plans for patients.
Maintain infection control standards in accordance with industry regulations.
Provide care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics, ensuring a comfortable experience.
Stay updated on advancements in general dentistry practices and medical coding as needed.

Skills

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
Proficiency in using dental office software, particularly Dentrix.
Familiarity with infection control procedures and protocols.
Ability to effectively assess patient needs and provide appropriate care.
Excellent communication skills for educating patients about their oral health.
Experience in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred but not mandatory.
