Job Description

Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and tartar, and applying fluoride treatments- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed
Experience:- - Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software- Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry- - Ability to operate and interpret dental imaging equipment
