## Job Overview
Dental assistant needed at general dentist office in downtown New Orleans. Competitive pay, paid time off, paid holidays, 401k, daily parking paid and health insurance offered. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm.
The dental assistants operate on a rotation basis and share responsibilities of the back lab and sterilization. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care.
## Responsibilities*Maintain patient flow and awareness of the order in which patients' are seen
*Be an extra set of hands when needed
*Escort patients from the reception area to the correct operatory
*Seat patients, place napkin, and chat with the patient to put them at ease
*Take x-rays as needed
*Prepare and place treatment trays
*Assist the dentists and hygienists as needed
*Clean operatory after patient leaves and prepare operatory for the next patient
*Clean/sterilize instruments
*Lab case tracking
*Restock operatory and clean and tidy lab at end of day
*Maintain inventory of supplies
## Experience- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols- Experience working in a dental clinic setting- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
