Dental Assistant - Sidney Family Dental - Sidney, OH

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other team members to assist with various procedures and maintain an organized, efficient environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using medical imaging techniques.
Utilize 3D scanners for accurate impressions and model creation.
Maintain patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance workflow efficiency during procedures.
Support the practice in general dentistry tasks, including but not limited to endodontics and preventive care.

Qualifications

Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental health.
Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
Previous experience in a dental assistant role is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
