Experienced Dental Hygienist - Department Lead - Dental cosmetic center of Edison - South Plainfield, NJ

Job SummaryAs a key member of our clinical team, the Dental Hygienist will play an integral role in delivering high-quality hygiene services while ensuring that our patients maintain optimal oral health. This position will also focus on growing and managing the hygiene department, promoting hygiene services, and fostering a positive patient experience.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, and routine exams for patients of all ages. Interpret X-rays, provide fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive treatments.
Lead and develop the dental hygiene team, ensuring high-quality care, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Create a system for tracking patient care and follow-ups.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care, and help them understand the importance of routine cleanings.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic, adhering to infection control protocols.

Experience

Must hold an active dental hygiene license (state-specific requirements).
At least 2-3 years of clinical experience in dental hygiene. Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role is a plus.
Ability to collaborate with a team of dental professionals to achieve common goals and promote patient satisfaction
Ability to manage patient flow and keep accurate records, ensuring efficiency and high standards of care.
Enthusiasm for helping to grow and maintain a strong, sustainable dental hygiene department, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
Familiarity with Open Dental software and digital X-rays is a plus

Salary: $48 base pay + incentives
