Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks and educating patients on maintaining optimal oral health.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Utilize dental instruments and equipment effectively
Document patient medical histories, including vital signs and current medication
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of pediatric patients, ensuring a positive experience for children.
Maintain accurate records of dental procedures and treatment plans using Dentrix Ascend software.
Collaborate with the Doctor to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry settings.
Stay updated on Dental terminology and best practices to enhance patient care.

Skills

Proficiency in Dentrix Ascend and familiarity with Itero scanner
Strong understanding of Dental terminology, including medical terminology related to oral health.
Experience in pediatrics and the ability to engage with young and older patients effectively.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring as part of patient assessments.
Ability to assist in various dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to educate patients clearly.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records.
Be comfortable using the oral camera and willing to learn how to use it ; as well as the itero scanner
Be comfortable using an ultrasonic scaler
Attention to infection control is a must in sterilizing items effectively in the room, all dental instruments to maintain a highly aseptic hygienic environment.
