The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Dental Hygienist you will provide comprehensive periodontal care, educate patients on the connection between oral health and systemic healthdental cleanings. This role requires a strong commitment to infection control and patient education, ensuring that all procedures are conducted with the utmost professionalism and care.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleanings, including scaling & root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
Educate patients on oral systemic health and the importance of good oral hygiene for overall wellness.
Assist in developing customized periodontal treatment plans based on patient needs.
Take digital X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging
Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures and treatments.
Work alongside dentists to provide optimal care during exams and treatments.
Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques in dental hygiene, especially related to periodontal care and oral systemic health.
Ensure sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care.
Implement infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress usingOpen Dental software.
Manage schedule for their patients who require assistance.
Ensure the dental clinic is organized, sanitized, and equipped for optimal patient care.
Utilize aseptic techniques during all procedures to minimize risk of infection.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is required.
Proficiency in documentation review and electronic health records management is required.

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in CA.
Strong knowledge of periodontal health, including scaling & root planing, and advanced techniques.
Deep understanding of oral systemic health and its connection to overall wellness.
Open-minded, flexible, and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and treatments.
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate and comfort patients.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment
