Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care, patient education on oral hygiene and preventive dental care in a professional and compassionate manner.
Oral health assessment: examine patients' mouths for signs of decay, periodontal disease, and other issues. Review patients' dental and overall health histories.
Oral hygiene education: teach patients how to brush and floss properly, and how to care for dentures. Counsel patients on oral health topics.
Dental prophylaxis: remove plaque and tartar from teeth using hand and ultrasonic instruments and polishing paste.
Dental treatments - apply sealants and fluorides to protect teeth, and also perform scaling and root planing.
X-rays: Capture digital dental X-ray images to help dentists see the roots of teeth and surrounding structures.
Infection control: maintain proper infection control procedures, including cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment.
Patient records: Create and maintain dental treatment charts and records.
Appointment scheduling: Schedule dental appointments and maintain appointment records.
Assisting dentists: May assist dentists during restorative, surgical, and endodontic procedures when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
