Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist in all phases of dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile and organized work environment.
Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they feel comfortable and attended to throughout their visit.
Set up treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with office protocols
Assist the dentist during procedures by anticipating needs and providing necessary instruments and materials.
Obtain and review patient health histories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records using Dentrix software.
Take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role within a dental practice. CDA/RDA preferred but not required.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques and aseptic protocols.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently with attention to detail.
