For our One Doctor cosmetic and general dental practice, we’re looking for a highly skilled dental assistant. You’ll assist with patient preparation and four handed dentistry with Doctor. Able to proficiently make temporaries, take radiographs, charting, and provide ultimate patient care. We are a smaller practice dedicated to providing the best care to all our patients. Be willing or capable of using Trios scanner for use with clear aligners and or nightguards. Team player, and be willing to help out wherever is needed.
Dental assistants should be well-organized and meticulous in their work. You should be able to follow directions and adhere to the rules of the dental practice. We want you to be capable of delivering direct or indirect patient care and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly. Running on time is paramount to the overall patient experience.
Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

Welcome customers to the dental office
Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
When necessary, assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergencies
Making sure medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs, are gathered and recorded
Maintain dental equipment inventory and order dental supplies

Dental Assistant Requirements:

Proven experience as a dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong attention to detail
Must be well-organized and reliable
Graduate of a dental assistant school is required
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
