OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join us here in our small private office in the land of Oz. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by handling patient scheduling, insurance claims, and maintaining accurate records.
We need a closer, but are flexible in that we are looking for someone who is looking to work as little as part time hours or as many up-to full time hours.
Schedule: Ideal shift
Monday - Friday (8hr shifts), Not open on the weekends, 2 late days

Mondays - 8:30am - 4:30pm
Tuesdays - 10:30am - 6:30pm
Wednesdays - 11:30am -7:30pm
Thursdays - 8:30am - 4:30pm
Fridays (possible)- 8:30am - 1:30pm

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and provide them with necessary information regarding their appointments.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently.
Perform insurance verification for patients.
Handle clerical duties such as scanning, data entry, and maintaining patient records up to date.
Process dental collections and assist patients with billing inquiries.
Keep a current collection aging report.
Communicate effectively with dental staff to coordinate patient care and office operations.
Utilizing Dentrix to manage patient information and appointment scheduling.
Understand and utilize dental terminology to assist in patient interactions and documentation.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is required.
Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Familiarity with insurance verification processes
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively.
Proficiency in Dentrix preferred but not required
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
