Job Overview:We are seeking a talented, dedicated, and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team of experienced professionals in the Park Cities area. This position is full-time, Mon-Thurs, so if you hate long weekends this position may not be the one for you.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist- Perform dental charting and documentation of patient records using Practice works- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, packing cord, fabricating temporaries, and providing patient education- Maintain strict infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques- Assist with front office duties such as scheduling appointments, and processing payments if needed- Provide support to the dental team in various areas of the practice
Must Have 10 + years prosthodontic experience:
- Making full arch temporaries, and working with implant restorations- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and systems- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems- Ability to take accurate dental x-rays and perform advanced laboratory procedures
Traits and Attributes we are looking for:- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively- Proficient in infection control protocols and maintaining a clean working environment- Knowledge of dental documentation practices and record keeping- Full knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays using digital radiography systems
