We are looking to add a motivated new dental assistant or EFDA to our dedicated team. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about their work and values long-term professional growth. We are located in O'Hara Township/Fox Chapel. We are a family practice and see patients of all ages. We make quality patient care our highest priority!

3-day work week

Typical hours of operation:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
8:30am -- 5:30pm
Dental Assistant skills and qualifications

Knowledge of dentistry, particularly dental procedures, instruments and hygiene
Experience administering dental X-rays
Technical skills and proficiency with dental, scheduling, office and practice management software
Customer service and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable during appointments
Organizational and multi-tasking skills, general office aptitude

Dental Assistant duties and responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist
Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs throughout the appointment
Take digital X-rays of patients
Complete lab work under the direction of the dentist
Greet patients as they arrive and schedule patient appointments
Update and maintain client's dental records
Handle general clinic administrative work and maintenance of exam rooms and the dental office
Other EFDA skills, if applicable

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
