As a dentist, I often wonder if I could imagine being a dental hygienist? Just because I could perform a Crown with ease, does not mean that I am capable of recognizing the role of the versatile and valuable team member that is my RDH? And RDH that has recently been unfairly belittled as a "tooth polisher,’ by a famous influencer. Let me be one of the first dentists you’ve known that stands up against that statement. I welcome you! I welcome you as a co-worker, supporting and assisting the needs of our patients. I am well aware of that fact that RDH’s are in high demand. I’ve done extensive research on this subject and understand that by far the number one reason for this is a lack of appreciation and recognition in the dental office.
