Licensed Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) - (Required)
Experience: 1 year minimum (Required)
Strong communication and patient care skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Bilingual (Preferred, not required)
Open Dental or other dental software experience a plus
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during procedures with efficiency and professionalism
Perform expanded functions, including placing fillings, polishing, and impressions
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Ensure sterilization and infection control standards are met
Take and develop X-rays as needed
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with treatment planning
An EFDA assists the dentist, sets up patients and equipment, and performs clinical and technical procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
Prepares patient operatories and equipment and assists doctors during examination and treatment.
Provides support to dentist and is an example of respect and caring to patients and team members.
