Here we grow again! Our practice is expanding and we are looking to add an additional surgical assistant. full time DAI or DA II.
JOB HOURS: Monday-Thursday 7:15-4:30 and Friday 7:30-2:00
POSITION SUMMARY: We have an amazing team and we are looking for individuals who hold patient care at the forefront of their mind. The role of a Surgical Assistant is to assist their Periodontist in the clinical setting. Their main priority is to ensure excellent patient care, maintain safety standards, and be the âright-handâ of their Doctor.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Assisting in all surgical procedures and appointments
Assisting general anesthesia and supplemental use of nitrous oxide
Proper sterilization of instruments, breakdown and disinfection of dental operatories
Ensuring a positive new patient experience, reviewing medical history, communicating pre and post op instructions and recording vital signs
Inventory and ordering
Patient related letters
Taking CBCT scans and x-rays
Ensuring all supplies and materials are present in all procedures that are needed, room set up and break down, stocking and organization
Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly checklist duties
Turning on and off Nitrous and Oxygen tanks
DESIRED SKILLS: DAI or DAII and CDA certification preferred but not required, X-Ray certification required, Coronal Polishing, Nitrous certified and Dentrix knowledge preferred.
