Job Description

Gentle Dental Care of Rochester, PC is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic and fast paced small family practice. Candidate must be enthusiastic, a quick learner, ability to problem solve, and care for patients. The primary role of a Dental Assistant is to assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients quality.
Compensation ranging from $17-$23 (based on experience)
Duties include:

Seating and dismissing patients,
Providing oral and written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions,
Taking radiographs, assisting the dentist chairside, maintaining flow between the operatories,
Preparing work areas to include stocking, setting up, breaking down, and cleaning,
Performs handpiece sterilization,
Remains aware of stock to be ordered through periodic inventories and communicates effectively with co-workers to place orders.

Qualifications

Proven experience in dental assisting and chairside support
Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy
Proficiency in using 3D scanners and Dentrix
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and general dentistry practices
Familiarity with endodontics
Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and manage medical records
CRDA is not necessary but is a preferred
