Dental Assistant - Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Centers - Flushing, NY

Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Centers (HVRCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center, a comprehensive primary health care practice dedicated to building a healthy community and improving the individual health, well-being and quality of life of each person served. Services include primary care medical services, mental health counseling, dental services, rehabilitation and specialty services with sites in Poughkeepsie, NY and Brewster, NY.
Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Centers is currently hiring a full-time Dental Assistant at our busy Brewster, NY location.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist the dentist or hygienist in the performance of all clinical procedures.
- Perform instrument sterilization and maintenance of equipment according to infection control policies.
- Assist with patient management.
- Oversee the scheduling of appointments.
- Keep accurate records and follow the progress of dental lab cases.
- Provide post-treatment instructions.
- Prepare order forms for supplies or materials.
- Correspond with parents/guardians of patients in need of any surgical procedures that warrant written consent.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED is required
One year of dental chairside experience is preferred
Experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred

Pay range: $18-21 per hour
