Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
Manage patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing dental software.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Monitor and record vital signs when necessary to ensure patient safety.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required during procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in dental assisting with a solid understanding of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of medical records management is essential.
Ability to effectively utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
